But, a new study in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Pollution shows just how dirty & toxic common household products, including your cosmetics & skincare, can truly be.
The study found that phthalates, a group of synthetic chemicals generally used to make plastics more durable, are found in an array of personal care products, probably sitting on your shelf right now. From hair spray & soap to fragrances & cosmetics, the use of phthalates is common & widespread — and most alarming, can have a lasting, harmful effect on your body.
These dirty “everywhere chemicals” are known to interfere with the body’s endocrine system. They are “linked with developmental, reproductive, brain, immune, & other problems,” according to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Additionally, previous studies have even linked phthalates to childhood obesity, asthma, cardiovascular issues, cancer, & more — and they may even contribute to over 100,000 premature deaths per year among people ages 55 to 64 in the U.S.
Thankfully, you’ll NEVER find Phthalates in goPure’s products.
