Beauty is a Dirty Industry
Join us in saying no to harmful chemicals & yes to clean ingredients!
If we told you that some of the non-goPure skincare products on your shelf could contain toxic, harmful chemicals called Phthalates, would you smear them all over your face & body?
But, a new study in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Pollution shows just how dirty & toxic common household products, including your cosmetics & skincare, can truly be.
The study found that phthalates, a group of synthetic chemicals generally used to make plastics more durable, are found in an array of personal care products, probably sitting on your shelf right now. From hair spray & soap to fragrances & cosmetics, the use of phthalates is common & widespread — and most alarming, can have a lasting, harmful effect on your body.
These dirty “everywhere chemicals” are known to interfere with the body’s endocrine system. They are “linked with developmental, reproductive, brain, immune, & other problems,” according to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Additionally, previous studies have even linked phthalates to childhood obesity, asthma, cardiovascular issues, cancer, & more — and they may even contribute to over 100,000 premature deaths per year among people ages 55 to 64 in the U.S.
Thankfully, you’ll NEVER find Phthalates in goPure’s products.
Cleaner beauty, better results is the motto we live by — and that drives our approach every day. We don’t do dirty, toxic ingredients. In fact, you won’t find “The Dirty 6” in any of our clean beauty products. Simply put, that means the goPure products you’re using on your face and body are free from toxic:
That’s just the beginning. In addition to “The Dirty 6” chemicals to avoid in your cosmetics & skincare, goPure goes far beyond that with a robust “NO” ingredients list — because the bare minimum just isn’t enough for our clean beauty standards. You can find that list in our previous blog here:
Not to mention, our products contain no artificial fragrances or additives — and of course, they’re always cruelty free & dermatologist reviewed.
Our only goal is to bring you real results, powered by clean, active ingredients, & nourishing botanicals. If it’s not great for your skin — it’s not in our products. After all, clean skincare is ethical skincare.
