Spring is in the air! I’m so ready for sunny days, brighter colors, and glowing, hydrated-looking skin. Seasonal trends get me excited to get out of a rut and try something new and fresh with my beauty routine.
While seasonal beauty trends can feel predictable, they can also be an opportunity to take a more modern approach to our skincare routine and makeup looks.
Here are my 5 favorite spring beauty trends to check out this year!
1. Minimalist Beauty
The “less is more” trend is continuing this season. Simplicity is everywhere in beauty. So, how do you still get results you want while streamlining your beauty routine? Start by focusing on your main goals and tackle concerns directly with targeted skincare and multi-use products.
Our new Vitamin C Booster powder allows you to keep your same routine and just sprinkle in an extra boost of skin-brightening magic quickly and easily. It can be used day or night and pairs with most of the skincare you already use.
Esthetician tip: There isn't an “ideal” number of products in a skincare routine. I will never recommend people use products they don’t need. The best routine is one that you will actually do consistently. Whether it’s 3 products or a full 10-step routine, it’s about using quality products you trust and enjoy.
2. No-Makeup Makeup
A refined look minus a full face of makeup? This season is all about minimal makeup, or a no-makeup look. These effortless looks highlight our natural features for an almost bare-faced look. I’ve been a makeup artist for over 20 years and am a master of the no-makeup makeup look. It does still require some makeup! It’s just applied with a lighter hand for a fresh, natural vibe.
The Hydrating Toner is one of the keys to prepping my skin for makeup. My skin just GLOWS and feels ready for my routine after using it. I can’t go without it when I am doing minimal makeup looks.
Esthetician tip: The better your skincare routine, the easier your no-makeup look will be to execute. When we invest in a consistent routine we can just feel more confident in our own skin and with less makeup.
3. Pops of Color Makeup
How do we take a no-makeup look up just a little bit? What if we still want a little more GLAM with the glow? Just pick your pop of color! Eyes, lips, cheeks, or even lashes. Taking one feature and giving a fun bright pop is a modern take on easy glam. I love a red lip, and we’re seeing a lot of these on the red carpet paired with a fresh overall makeup look. One of my favorite spring takes is a blush-toned eye and a red lip. So chic!
Esthetician tip: Don’t forget to exfoliate your lips! A little Rosehip Oil and sugar make a great at-home lip scrub for smooth lips. I like to layer the Eye Gel around the perimeter of my lips for some peptide-packed hydration. Now you have lips that are ready for a bright pop!
4. Skincare Makeup Hybrid Products
Is it time to start expecting more from our makeup? We’re seeing a trend of buzz-worthy skincare ingredients in more makeup products. There are vitamin C primers, vitamin E foundations, and even hyaluronic acid in powders! It can be hard to tell what goes beyond marketing to actually deliver skincare benefits though.
Two products that I LOVE to use for makeup prep that REALLY delivers results under my glam are the Dramatically Dewy Serum and the Advanced Repair Eye Cream. They sit so perfectly under my makeup and my skin looks plump, hydrated, and glowy.
Esthetician tip: I’ll stick to trusting my actual skincare products to deliver on the skincare benefits and just let my makeup be makeup.
5. Get Super Glowing Skin
Just when we thought we couldn’t embrace the glow any more…SUPER glowing skin is in. Now everyone has their ideal glow, (and yes matte looks are also in), but for an extra glow factor, we have to take it up a notch. Luckily, this is easy to achieve with the right combination of moisturizer and facial oil. I like to take a generous pump of the Glyco-Peptide Anti Wrinkle Moisturizer and put a drop or two of Rosehip Oil and mix it right in for my most luminous look yet.
Esthetician tip: When I want even more of a glow, I take another half a drop of oil and dab it on the high points of my face for a natural highlight.
Which one of these spring beauty and skincare trends are you most likely to try?

Hi Stephanie – love gopure. Can you tell me if the Rosehip and Argan oils have a shelf life?
